Hi, my name is Cristina Gracia Lisbona and I am Global Sales Manager at Alfa Laval. Today we are going to talk about the brand-new Alfa Laval Foodec Hygiene Plus – the decanter specially designed for food applications. This brings us to the Alfa Laval Foodec Hygiene Plus, the decanter that sets new standards in food hygiene and food safety. Like all Alfa Laval decanters, it offers exceptional performance and efficiency and it has innovative features that improves the overall hygiene in the equipment. That is why we have optional features in the Foodec Hygiene Plus that enhance the level of hygiene even further. First, we have what we call TrueStainless. This means solid stainless steel is used in the decanter frame and other key parts that are in contact with corrosive atmospheres and media. With this feature, we can not only improve the decanter’s hygiene and ability to withstand cleaning agents, but also increase the lifetime of the equipment. Then we have SaniRib. These fully welded ribs on the inside of the bowl create optimal friction and the most optimal solids transport. They also eliminate pathogen hotspots and make cleaning much easier resulting in longer production runs with better hygiene levels.
