[Music] welcome to one of our alfa laval 360 degrees service and maintenance videos with alfa laval service you maximize the reliability and uptime of your equipment the result is superior performance throughout the lifecycle of your equipment performance that puts you ahead of the competition here we will focus on how to conduct service and maintenance on the standard Alfa Laval TJ 40 G rotary jet head using our service kit with genuine Alfa Laval spare parts timely replacement of wear pants prevents costly damage follow the instruction manual regarding maintenance intervals and the use of service kits remember always read the instruction manual thoroughly to make sure you cover all maintenance steps this video only shows you some of the steps to maintain the Alfa Laval TJ 40 G rotary jet head these tools are required each Alfa Laval service kit contains all the spare parts you need how to disassemble the Alfa Laval TJ 40 G rotary jet head start by removing the nozzle assemblies you now secure the machine in a bench vise to protect the surfaces always use soft jaws use the surfaces where the nozzles are attached to the machine use a socket wrench on the top of the turbine to rotate the turbine shaft until the machine is in a vertical position loosen the cone with a fork key remove the cone now remove the guide assembly next remove the turbine assembly then remove the planet gear assembly loosen the stem nut with a caliper if needed use a soft mallet on the caliper now remove the stem along with a ball retainer with balls and the stem nut from the Machine loosen and remove three screws that attach the gear ring to the machine you remove the gearing remove the machine from the bench vise now hold the body of the machine against a table and loosen the hub nut with a caliper beware of the left-hand thread if needed use a soft mallet on the caliper remove the hub along with a ball retainer with balls and hub nut from the machine finally remove the o-ring from the body [Music]
