The Alfa Laval Aseptic mixproof valve is a double-seat valve designed - for the highest demands of hygiene and safety. It is built on the well-known and well-proven Unique Single Seat Aseptic valve platform. The diaphragm design ensures easy service, leakage detection - and low total cost of ownership. With product safety in mind, a small leakage chamber, minimizes product spillage. And enhances cleaning and sterilization. Modularity makes it easy to configure the valve. It comes in two versions, for vertical mounting and for horizontal mounting, to suit your exact requirements. This makes it possible to fit the valve into all system designs, even where space is limited. The tangential valve body ensures full drainability of the horizontally mounted valve. The two individual plugs ensures no risk of cross-contamination during a pressure shock. Sharing common parts with the Unique Single Seat Valves. Including actuators, clamps, PTFE diaphragms and defined compression seals, all to ensure long lifetime. You can configure the valve either for standard actuation or with an added seat lift. The steam inlet valve can be configured as a shutoff or a changeover valve, both in a normally open configuration or a normally closed configuration. The valve can be fitted with the intelligent Alfa Laval ThinkTop V50 - or V70 sensing and control unit. This meets the demands for process control, monitoring, and storage of relevant process data. The auto-setup feature ensures quick and easy setup, even during installation or when replacement is required. A precise tolerance band ensures that even the smallest unintended movement will be detected. Alfa Laval also provides the valves for process lines and steam lines - that ensure a high level of hygiene and sterile conditions throughout the system. Now cleaning the upper line, the two independent actuators provide the opportunity - to open one valve during Cleaning-in-Place while creating turbulence in the leakage chamber, thereby cleaning even the most challenging products. Combined with the seat lift, the valve ensures full cleanability. Cleaning the lower line, the seat lift also works together - with the burst seat cleaning functionality integrated into the ThinkTop. This cuts CIP media and water costs. When cleaning the leakage chamber and the steam and leakage lines, the changeover valve directs the liquid either into the leakage chamber - or into the steam line. The smart design of the leakage chamber, with its minimized volume and conical plug ends, distributes the CIP liquid to the outer areas to minimize cleaning time - and ensure quick and complete sterilization of the entire valve. Complete sterilization of the entire valve begins, including in the leakage chamber, and upper and lower line. This takes at least 20 minutes, with 2.7 bar steam pressure at 130°C. The upper line is cooled with sterile water, maintaining a sterile barrier - and draining and cooling the lower line by means of sterile air. The entire valve is now ready for use in production. Once the steam valves close, the steam inlet valve - redirects the sterile barrier to the backside of the plugs in the two valves. Now, the product can be safely transferred from the upper line to the lower line. While product is transferred, the supporting steam valve - closes towards the condensate reservoir, where condensate is generated. The lower port maintains a sterile barrier towards the valve. After product transfer is completed, the product remaining in the lower - volume leakage chamber is pushed out with the condensate, and then followed by a sterile barrier to secure sterile conditions. Before upper line is ready for next batch, a sterile CIP is performed by line cleaning and seat lift. The valve is ready for the next batch. Maintaining the sterile barrier, the valve continues production. The Alfa Laval Aseptic mixproof valve shares common spare parts - with the well-known Unique Single Seat Aseptic Valve.
